My 2016 Japan Trip Convinced Me That People In Japan Needs Xtend Life Supplements

It's true...and I'll share that at the bottom of the article (hint: it's their food).

I am blessed to be able to travel to Japan between 15th March 2016 to 29th March 2016, and we covered mainly Tokyo (7 nights) and Kyoto (9 nights), with lots of travels on our JR (Japanese Rail) Pass doing day trips.

First of all, let me first say this:

i love being in japan!

Super enjoyed my stay there - thanks to my wonderful wife, who planned everything.

Some pictures below:

why i am convinced that people who live and work in japan needs xtend life supplements

This is not because I am an affiliate of Xtend Life, any monies I make by recommending Xtend-Life supplements are truly a bonus - I say this upfront, because I am an affiliate for good health, wellness and life, and it brings me great joy to see people in good health and just enjoying life and what life has to offer (I say this because I am a health professional, and since 2005, I have had treated and seen many people in very poor health).

Japanese food is:

  • centred mainly around carbohydrates. Seriously - every meal and everywhere I go, it's either soba, somen, tsukemen, rice or bread. And they eat a lot of it. Like a lot. And in some places I went, people actually ordered large serving of ramen AND fried rice. Like seriously, both men and women.

  • pretty salty. The soups that go along with meals (such as miso) or are main meals such as soups for udon etc - they're really salty. Even their curry noodles and rice are very salty.

  • lots of preserved foods. Which of course, linked back to salt to preserve them, unless they are wind/air-dried. Lots of pickles and high in salt content.

  • lots and lots of fried stuff. Think tempura, tonkatsu, croquettes (korroke) and ebifurai.

  • lots of sugar in both savory meals and desserts (of course), but you'd find that many of their savory dishes contains lots of sugar too.

  • lots of desserts. This is linked to the above point, but I single this out because I realize that there IS REALLY A LOT OF DESSERTS in Japan. In Tokyo station itself, there are literally dozens and dozens of stores dedicated to desserts such as parfaits, baumkuchens, green tea desserts, ice cream - everything, you name it, they got it. And the japanese love their desserts - I even saw a middle age man who bought an entire swiss roll and was enjoying himself eating it finish in the midst of sakura (I may do the same...). But really, lots of sugar in their diets.

  • lots of tofu. Maybe too much - the Japanese truly are artisans of going in depth in skills and expertise, and you can find tofu skin, tofu grilled, tofu drink, tofu ice cream, tofu pudding, tofu plain, tofu fried, tofu skin - a lot of tofu. There is even dedicated tofu shops with tofu gifts too. Medically, tofu in reasonable amounts is good, but too much may lead to gout (and usually served in salty broth/soup).

On the upside, their foods contains:

  • a lot of varied and colorful vegetables (the more varied and colorful your meal naturally, the better the health results and outcomes)
  • lots of good seaweed and kelp (just be careful of salt in the broth and soup they're served in)
  • lots of good seafood that is fresh
  • lots of fermented products which adds flora to our digestive systems, such as the miso (yes, it's fermented) and natto (oh man, I actually love this - in fact, my little girl loved it too!)

Our family loved the experience in Japan, and we are definitely making plans to travel there again, and perhaps, live there on a longer term basis when the time is right.

If you hadn't visited Japan before, do visit there, it's worth the time and money.
