Healthy And Wellness Living Overview

Today an increasing number of people are seeking information and guidance to build, restore and stay healthy mentally and physically into their advanced age.

Because of this, the principles of anti-aging, health and wellness lifestyle is increasingly accepted as the framework of living healthy.

In fact, more than 2000 years ago, Hippocrates wrote:

If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, not too little and not too much, we would have found the safest way to health.

In fact, though it's been more than 2000 years ago, the statement that Hippocrates made is still applicable today, and it is the centre of everything I believe in, and what Xtend-Life does too - it is the centre of their philosophy and serves as a guide to all their natural health products and supplements.

Our bodies are made of cells, and every cell has a cycle (lifespan) and when its cycle ends, it dies, and then it gets replaced by a new cell. In fact, every 7 years, every cell in our bodies would have been replaced by brand new ones that are fully regenerated.

Now, when it comes to aging rapidly is when there is an increased of pollutants, toxins and free radicals into our system - such as taking alcohol, smoking (direct or second hand or emissions by cars/industrials), sedentary lifestyle lacking activities and exercise as well as the consumption of unhealthy and processed foods.

All these accelerate cellular death because

  • toxins/pollutants destroys cells and impedes function;
  • nutrient deficit impairs our organs from functioning normally (organ dysfunction decreases secretion of necessary hormones/chemicals required for cellular health);
  • lack of exercise weakens our bodily structures and systems

...all leading towards one path: cellular death and development of degenerative diseases.

That's why we need to engage in health activities, such as exercise, drinking water, avoiding processed foods, taking quality health supplementation to slow down the aging process, so that we can spend more healthy years and time with our loved ones and doing what we are called to do here in earth.

integral health includes good supplementation

One of the cornerstone of health and wellness lifestyle is to embark on a quality health supplement program, which should contain all the vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids and micro nutrients that your body, cells and system needs.

Yes, exercise is very important and having a balanced healthy diet is a good start...but unfortunately, our foods, fruits, vegetables and meats are now nurtured and farmed in poor soil...

  • that have been treated with pesticides, insecticides and herbicides to keep pests away...
  • pumped with hormones and chemicals to ripen faster....
  • harvested early (lacking nutrients) so that they can be transported to different parts of the world...
  • processed, freeze dried, microwaved

...and by the time it reaches your table and your body, it has a fraction of nutrients and nutrition of what it once had.

Let's get a little deeper.

first, let's Define what Good Health is

Good health isn't just the absence of pains or diseases, not just about "healthy or unhealthy", but truly, in my opinion,

Good health is about living one's best health, being well, being fit, absence of degenerative diseases and ailments, functioning at the top of one's physical and mental state.

What's degenerative diseases?

So any condition that serves to impede, interfere or limit the proper and normal function, structure of any tissues and/or organs can be termed degenerative disease. Such examples include cancer, diabetes, liver disease, dementia, arthritis.

Degenerative diseases, as its name implies, occurs and happens over time (degeneration). It gradually and slowly strains your organs and system, slowly eating away strength, immunity and the ability to function normally.

But what causes these degenerative diseases? And why are they so prevalent today?

Hmm, I would say that the simplest answer would be that it's something that we humans created ourselves. Over the past years and decades, we have consumed and demanded for more and more processed foods, sugars, and junk food...and at the same time, neglecting to take in good fresh fruits and vegetables.

Throw in industrial pollutants/pollutions, toxins, stresses from the modern lifestyle, lacking sleep and exercise - they all form a potent chisel against our health, especially our digestive system, which is the fundamental of our entire health.

If our digestive system is diseased, not functioning properly, everything else will fail in a cascading effect...leading to diseases.

To top that off, there has been the gradual devaluation of nutrients in our food due to pollution, overfarming, transportation, genetic engineering, preservatives, additives and chemical contaminants in all our foods and drink.

In fact, the very air we breathe every day, day in day out, is also full of air pollutants and contaminants (read the article on Xtend Life China, where I covered a little about the horrendous air pollution in China).

The modern lifestyle is so frantic, fast-paced and stressful, and stress actually puts a large strain on our bodies and system (note: in medical studies, there is increasingly pointing to stress as one of the causes of degenerative illnesses, diseases and even cancers).

Because of high stress, our bodies then has to allocate massive energy to manage the increased inflammation/glycation and as a result, it leads to decreased energy, constant fatigue and tired. This then leads to decreased physical activity/exercise, consumption of more foods and leading to weight gain and other issues later.

This causes our bodies to be constantly "attacked" by external pressures and stresses and needs a lot of nutrients and nutrition to keep "patching and fighting" to function properly. The sad thing is that people are increasingly "accepting" that degenerative and chronic diseases are part of the "aging" factor, and not because of nutrient deficit, stress and pollutions.

“Our modern diet will make you fat, sap your energy, lower your immune system, destroy your vital digestive system, and make you disease susceptible. In turn this will increase your risk of cancer and brain disease, age you prematurely and literally 'take away your life'.”

Warren Matthews, Chairman, Xtend-Life

You don't have to live that way

There is a not-so-secret way of improving, restoring and optimizing our health and decreasing the risk of degenerative diseases. The basics is increasing our activity/exercise levels and diet (opting for more organic fruits and vegetables).

It is vital that you ensure that you get the best nutrition and diet as you can, and avoid ingredients and foods that causes diseases such as sugars, trans-fats, chemicals and preservatives, as well as to take lots of clean waters. At the same time, you have to engage your body and mind with exercise to build and grow your fitness, health and bodily function - use it or lose it!

Of course it's very hard to avoid all the factors that lead to poor health, unless you decide to isolate yourself and live in a far-away place...but that's not the only way - a better and more realistic way is to therefore find a harmonious balance between lifestyle, activity and health.

Although we may live in an environment where foods are nutritionally poor/deficit, or eat foods that are not the best/optimal for our health, but if you ensure that you are supplementing yourself with enough good quality multi nutrients and minerals into your body to boost and resist those bad influences, you have a much better chance of building, restoring and living your optimal health.

Of course, before you can do achieve that, your digestive system and health must be at its normal/peak function, THEN a combination of healthy balanced organic diet, good exercise, high quality nutritional supplement, and healthy digestive system will work together to improve your health.

Exercising and Moving: No matter what your age, your health level, your fitness level - you definitely can do something to exercise your body (I know because I'm a hand therapist, and the founder of one the largest orthopedic and sports injury rehab teams in Singapore) - there are so many benefits to exercise and moving:

  1. it improves the connection between your mind/brain and body, and it even has a medical name: Mind-Body-Brain performance. The more you exercise your body, the stronger your mind and brain (the body is the motor of the brain and mind, and they're inter-related. Stronger body = stronger mind and nerves).

  2. it improves your immune system and immunity

  3. it improves your physical and physiological strength (think strength, stamina, stability)

  4. it improves your organs and vital organs strength

  5. it makes you feel good and more confident of yourself (serotonin release + more "sure footed" >> confidence

Even moderate exercises such as walking, brisk walking or swimming for 20 - 30 minutes each day, or resistive/weight loading exercises such as gym work are beneficial.

Diet & Foods: If you can, avoid all forms of processed foods and drinks, including sports drinks, carbonated drinks, milk products and meats will definitely help your health tremendously. Of course it's impossible to rely on diet alone to get all the nutrients, minerals and nutrition your body needs (pollution, soil nutrient depletion, over-cultivation has devalued our nutrient sources).

And this leads us to...

professional health supplementation

A good/high quality and reliable natural health supplement can and will provide enough positive nutrient/nutritional factors to boost and restore damages to your health, and your digestive system itself will be able to thrive in good health.

Okay, when you're researching and looking for a professional and high quality source of health supplements, you need to take note of the following:

  • The ingredients used in the supplements need to be pure and free from all traces and presence of toxins, pollutants, additives and contaminants

  • There needs to be evidence of the effectiveness of the ingredients, which also needs to be documented and has its relevant case studies

  • The formulas for the health supplements needs to contain ingredients that benefits each others effectiveness, and not contradict/cancel each other out

  • The health supplements needs to be gentle on our stomachs (not cause stomach aches/other health issues) and their valued ingredients inside needs to be protected with enteric coating so as to not be destroyed by the harsh stomach acids.

  • The health supplement formulas needs to be appropriately priced and not too expensive just because they contain expensive ingredients. On the same note, manufacturers shouldn't avoid expensive ingredients just because they want it to be cheap - the focus should always be high quality at affordable prices.

In fact, most health supplement manufacturers in the world today can only claim at most 1 or 2 of these points here...whereas Xtend-Life is able to claim all 5 points and more.

The scientists and researchers at Xtend-Life has dedicated and spent many years and effort to research, process, test and manufacturer health formulas to help you improve and restore your health and reach your health goals.

Since 1998 till today, they still continue to research, upgrade and improve their natural health supplement formulas to ensure that their customers only achieve the best health outcomes. Their best selling Total Balance Series:

Degenerative Conditions

Here are some brief information on health conditions that are linked to poor health / nutrient deficits.

Most of them start with little to no symptoms (asymptomatic), but they gradually over time, they start to damage and degenerate the organs and tissues until it becomes very weak and malfunctions.

Examples being heart diseases, diabetes, cancers and obesity are among the top killers in the entire world for men and women. These conditions are definitely preventable, and even curable during their early detection stage.

Allergies

Allergies refer to mistaken reactions by our immunity/immune system when they come into contact with one or more allergens (such as pollens, dust, dust mite, molds, food sensitivities etc). This immune response is a mistaken response because these foreign substances are usually harmless to a non-allergic person.

Asthma / Asthmatic

Being asthmatic or having asthma refers to a breathing problem that is caused by inflammation and spasms of the bronchial tubes in our lungs (they are air passages), and this causes them to narrow, and of course, this limits the flow of air in and out of our lungs. Asthma is also often related to an allergic reaction, which can be triggered by the examples as mentioned above.

Some symptoms include: shortness of breath (SOB), wheezing, coughing, tightness in the lungs/chest

Dementia and Alzheimer's disease (AD)

Dementia and Alzheimer's disease refers to a progressive brain disease that is typically characterized by gradual memory loss (usually short term memory), personality changes, decreased ability to carry out normal tasks, loss/impediment to speech, language and judgement.

Scientists believe AD may result from an increased production and accumulation of beta-amyloid protein, leading to nerve cell death. This can cause deficits in neurotransmitter ability in certain brain areas, contributing to memory and behavioural malfunctions.

Nutritional deficiency is associated with this overproduction and many trials in nutritional rebalancing and monitored supplementation have proven successful in delaying or even reversing the symptoms.

Arthritis & Joint Conditions

Arthritis refers to a joint problem/disorder, and can come in many different types and forms, but the most common being osteoarthritis, which is caused by usual wear and tear of cartilage; to a more deadly inflammation response type called rheumatoid arthritis and more. There are more than 70 known types of arthritis today.

The usual culprit symptoms of arthritis includes decreased joint movement/stiffness, pain and swelling of joints, and decreased strength.

Many types of arthritis can also cause symptoms that affects other organs and not just joints alone, including causing fever, damage to organs. fatigue, skin changes etc.

Read more about this condition in our Joints, Bones & Connective Tissues section of Healthy Living.

Cancer

Cancer is the dreaded word that we all don't want to hear, and it is a disease of the cells in the body. What happens is that there is an abnormal cellular growth that can grow at an uncontrolled/unknown rate, and in some cases, spread to other body parts, organs and systems. A cancerous growth or tumor is considered malignant, whereas a non-malignant, non-cancerous growth or tumor is called benign.

Cancer can involve any types of body tissues and can appear in many different forms and types. Most of the time, cancers are named for the type of cell or organ where they started eg breast cancer, testicular cancer, prostate cancer, cervical cancer, lung cancer, bone cancer etc.

For both men and women combined, skin care is the most common malignant type of cancer; for men alone the most common is prostate cancer; for women is breast cancer.

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

IBS is a very common ailment of the lower intestines and bowel and is known by a few different names including the spastic colon and spastic colitis.

IBS is referred to as a "functional" diseases where the digestive muscles, organs and nerves do not function or work properly; the normal processes of breaking down and absorbing nutrients becomes disrupted.

Some of the symptoms includes nausea, vomiting, abdominal bloating, distention, diarrhea and excessive mucous.

Crohn's disease

Chron's Disease refers to the chronic inflammation of the intestines that leads to the development of tears to the intestinal lining. It is also known as granulomatous enteritis or colitis, regional enteritis, ileitis or terminal ileitis.

It is an auto-immune condition, where the immune system is activated in the absence of foreign bodies, and this leads to long term inflammation and ulceration as the immune system attacks the intestines.

Macular degeneration

This is a disease that affects one's central eye vision and can lead to actual/real loss of eyesight. Usually, it occurs in people who are older ( >60 years old) so normally it's called 'Age-Related Macular Degeneration' (AMD), but it may also develop in younger people too.

There are two types of AMD

  • "Dry" AMD the light sensitive cells in the macula gradually spoils
  • "Wet" AMD new blood vessels behind the retina starts growing towards the macular and leaks under it, damaging the macular

Peripheral vascular disease (PVD)

PVD refers to the disease whereby the blood vessels that develops when the arteries that supply blood to the internal organs and extremities becomes partially or fully blocked, and is usually caused by atherosclerosis...(below)

Atherosclerosis

Atherosclerosis occurs when cholesterol "plaques" is deposited/sticks to walls of the arteries, causing these walls to harden and narrow. If it narrows until it's blocked, it causes decreased blood and nutrient supply of the location it was delivering blood to. If it breaks off and travels and lodges in brain, it causes a stroke; if it lands in the heart, it causes heart attack. This broken piece can travel anywhere in the arterial system.

Hyperthyroidism

Hyperthyroidism refers to an overactive thyroid gland that causes excess thyroid hormone (thyrotoxicosis) to be secreted (wreaking havoc on our bodies)

Obesity

Being obese and/or overweight is likely the single largest causing factor to chronic and degenerative diseases.

Obesity refers to a chronic condition of having "excess body fat". Yes, a certain amount of body fat is vital and required to store energy, as a buffer for our bodies in case of impact/trauma, for system/organ functions and more.

Normal body fat for men is about 18% to 25% and for women is 25% to 30%. Women who has more than 30% body fat and men who has above 25% body fat are considered obese.

Obesity increases one's risk of developing a number of chronic and potentially dangerous health conditions, including:

  • type 2 diabetes (adult onset)
  • high blood pressure (hypertension)
  • high cholesterol
  • arthritis, gout and osteoarthritis
  • stroke
  • heart attacks and/or heart failure
  • cancer
  • and more

The additional weight from the excess weight/fats strains the muscles and joints and this in turn strains your heart to work harder and overtime to ensure blood is supplied to your entire body. The more fats and weight, the harder your heart will work.

Of course, your liver, kidneys and other organs will definitely be affected as well, as they have to work harder and overtime to correct imbalances caused by obesity.

numbers and statistics

Generally, obesity and heart diseases are the current top diseases of this century (21st century), having cause more deaths in adult men and women in more and more countries. Next in line is diabetes, Chron's disease and cancer.

These degenerative conditions are caused by nutrient deficits and lifestyle aggravation, which are preventable. In fact, 95% of people will die from nutritional deficit degeneration disease (this is an astonishing number). Out of 2.4 million deaths in the United States every year, 75% (1.8 million) are caused by avoidable nutritional deficit diseases (from the US Surgeon General).

Allergies

  • At least 50 million North Americans have/are affected by allergic conditions
  • Hay fever affects around 35 million Americans (of which, 6 million are children)
  • Asthma/asthmatic conditions affects 15 million Americans (5 million of them being children)

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

  • One of the most common problems of the intestines and affects around 15% of Americans

Obesity

  • 33.3% of Americans are obese (this means if you come across 3 Americans, one of them WILL be obese). Obesity is rapidly increasing and has doubled in 7 years.
  • In the United States, about 300,000 deaths per year are caused/directly related to obesity
  • more than 80% of the 300,000 deaths are patients with a BMI index above 30 (BMI = body mass index)

causes

Increasing and high mental stress, pollutants, toxins and chemicals all increases our body's needs for high quality nutrients and nutrition. Once / if our bodies are depleted or deficit of nutrients, there will be rapid tissue break down and dysfunction.

This will be followed by accumulation of toxins as well as rapid loss of immunity and energy. The first signs and symptoms are fatigue, followed by multiple and ongoing colds, flu and infections which will occur again and again.

Soon these deficits lead to the development of chronic diseases such as atherosclerosis, high blood pressure, diabetes and arthritis.

"Scientists now recognize that even mild nutritional deficiencies and biochemical imbalances can create the subtle symptoms of major disease. Prevention of natural chemical and nutritional depletion is therefore the key to optimal health.”

Conventional treatment and management

Sadly, conventional medicine and medical interventions tends to use symptomatic and suppressive management approaches to treat degenerative conditions, which is effectively treating symptoms rather than truly addressing the actual underlying cause.

I share with you an example - a person with osteoarthritis who is presented with pain, they will be given pharmaceuticals to: decrease inflammation, pain medication to decrease pain and if all else fails, surgical intervention. Nothing is done to actually address the cause of the inflammation in the first place.

Treatments include anti-inflammatories, antibiotics, painkillers, steroids and chemical stimulants or relaxants...and they come with their host of nasty side effects, which in turn need other suppressive medications to "manage" the side effects...and so the vicious cycle continues...all without managing the main problem.

Don't get me wrong, I'm in mainstream health, in rehab where treatment is manual therapy, exercises, mobilization - no medications or invasive surgeries, and we have more than 96% success/improvement rate, and I understand the need for surgical interventions which in the hands of a good surgeon, can and will work wonders. But the western medications? I don't like those at all.

Prevention and management and Cures

Our health and wellness are generally determined by these five factors:

  • Diet and food intake
  • Professional supplementation such as Total Balance and Kiwi Klenz
  • Your level of activity and exercise
  • Your mental state
  • The environment you live in - stresses, pollutions, toxins etc

More below ya

Diet & Food Intake

Manufactured and processed foods such as canned foods, carbonated beverages/sodas, energy drinks, flour products - anything processed and packaged all contains harmful additives, hydrogenated oils, emulsifiers, flavorings, preservatives and artificial colorants.

They also tend to contain harmful contaminants from the logistics and handling. Dairy/milk products including milk , animal proteins and a large number of plant based foods also contains chemicals and contaminants plus hormones and medications to increase the rate and size of the animals/animal produce.

In fact, even tap water contains many chemicals and contaminants that will be detrimental to our body's natural chemical balance, and should be well avoided, and replaced with good quality filtered or reverse osmosis water (I remember my father spoke very highly of reverse osmosis waters)

Countries and societies that has been exposed and adopted the western food and diet often shows that the consumers health will rapidly start to deteriorate, and the rates of obesity, heart diseases and cancer will start to spike up.

Contrasting this "economy/profit-driven western idealogy", there are some people whom are either isolated or by conscious choice who live on natural and unfarmed produce...and have very low rates of cancer, strokes, diabetes, diabetes...and their women do not have any infertility, reproductive or osteoporosis problems...and most importanlty, where people are not obese or overweight.

Exercise and Activity Levels

Ok, I'm a trained hand therapist and I co-founded one of the largest private multi-disciplinary orthopedics, musculoskeletal and sports injury rehab team in Singapore, and we're 100% based on non-surgical and non-medical intervention to help our patients recover from orthopedic and sports injuries, and our survey shows that more than 96% have good to great results with us...

...so I dare say I know a thing or two about the benefits of exercise on health.

Or bodies are designed to be always on the go and on the move, so if you prefer to live a sedentary lifestyle, your body will deteriorate. You see, our body is a very complex and sophisticated system that works very well with mild to moderate strain/stress, as it'd "level up" to "overcome the strain" - each time you strain and stress your body, it'd level up to be stronger and better...and the converse is true. If you don't exercise your body, it'd just shrivel, weaken, become infection prone, flabby and more.

Research and data shows that any form of exercises and activity will definitely help you to become fitter, lose weight or maintain your ideal body weight, improve your confidence and mood, regulate your cholesterol, improve diabetic conditions, improve blood circulations, improve your strength and stamina, and much more.

Please do not underestimate the power and benefits of regular cardiovascular/aerobics and resistive exercises. Of course, the more strenous and consistently done, the better the benefits.

Even moderate yoga and swimming, when done regularly, is also very beneficial for health as they can help keep your body supple and strong, and at the same time, increases circulation to all your extremities and organs. Truly, use it or lose it is the adage here, especially when you neglect your body...your body will start to rapidly deteriorate.

You know, many people think that exercise HAS to be intense or hours at the gym to be beneficial...actually, a regular 30 minutes exercise 3 - 5 times per week is already very good. What I advise patients is to increase their exercise level by modifying their lifestyle.

For example:

  • If you live in an apartment, stop your life 2 - 3 floors before your actual floor and take the stairs home
  • If you take bus home, stop 1 - 2 stops earlier and walk the remaining distance back
  • If you drive car, park a further distance away so you'd walk a little more to and from your car

...and the list can go on some more, be creative! =)

Professional Dietary Supplementation

Natural health nutritional supplements are vital and even necessary to our bodies because today, it is no longer possible to get enough nutrition from modern foods and modern food processing.

On top of that, pollutions, toxins and the modern day lifestyle keeps hammering at us and pushing us to our limits, and you need to provide your body, organs and system with quality nutrients to keep them strong and healthy, and in turn, that'd keep you strong and healthy.

The average health supplement today truly is "average" - they're not enough for your body. Even the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) guidelines only cover a limited and small number of the more known/common nutrients, so broad-based supplementation is very important (I wrote an article on RDA here).

There are in fact many individual ingredients that helps to keep our organs healthy, strong and well. Standalone amino acids, herbal extracts, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and trace elements do not provide the quality or efficacy of support required....but of course they are beneficial in their own capacity and right.

It is only when they are combined in the correct complementary formulas and doses that they work cooperatively and harmoniously together to improve overall health. This approach helps to keep your immunity strong, your organs functioning well and providing additional energy and benefits to keep degenerative and chronic diseases away.

...sadly, even with all these good and positive information, many manufacturers produce their health formulas with cheap, poor quality ingredients, usually contaminated with little benefits or effects for the consumer.

And that's actually pretty bad if you take those...and if you think those will help you. Nope.

What you do need is a range of quality and high potency ingredients to maintain and build your health, and a sub-standard one will not get you healthier.

Here is a comprehensive list of ingredients that are considered essential nutrients for holistic health.

In many to most formulas, many of these ingredients are destroyed during digestion, because of stomach acid and excreted. Xtend-Life protect their ingredients via a unique enteric coating process which ensures the nutrients survive digestion and are released safely in the small intestine.

The ingredients listed in bold can be found in Xtend-Life Total Balance, which is a supplement formula that is very comprehensive and covers every aspect of your health and the nutrients you need to build and maintain health.

Vitamins and co-factors

Vitamins and co-factors protects against hardening of the arteries; decreases excess cholesterol, removes/detoxes environmental pollutants, decreases heart and circulatory problems, improves fatigue, normalizes digestive pressure, balances metabolism problems, decreases brain diseases, anti-aging, prevents eye and skin problems and nervous system disease…

Vitamin C, Vitamin D/D3, Vitamin E, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Folate (as folic acid), Beta-Carotene, Biotin, Folic Acid, Inositol, Lutein, Phosphatidyl Choline, Rutin, Tocotrienols, Vitamin A (usually as Beta Carotene), Vitamin K (is considered to be a drug in some countries...for example Canada. It can adversely affect some pharmaceutical drugs as it is also a blood thinner.)

Amino acids

Amino acids and natural supplements are involved in many metabolic processes that involves energy, immunity/immune system, anti-aging, nervous system, musculoskeletal system, bones and joints health, hormonal balance, blood sugar, cardiovascular disease and brain and memory health.

L-Arginine HCL, L-Methionine, L-Threonine, L-Tyrosine, L-Carnosine, L-Glutathione (reduced), L-Taurine, L-Proline, L-Lysine, N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, Myricetin, Resveratrol, Ribonucleic Acid (RNA)

Macro minerals and trace elements

Macro minerals and trace elements are vital for strong and healthy bones; good central nervous system function, muscle and heart health, brain function, hormonal balance, cellular healthy and anti-aging, facilitates natural body detox, keeps your energy levels high, protect eye health and vision and helps to prevent high blood pressure, heart attacks and strokes.

Trace elements enhances the absorption of food and minerals, correct mineral deficiencies, increases energy production, normalize blood pressure, lose weight and fight obesity as well as to help delay aging, facilitates detox, promote normal cellular function, prevents osteoporosis and improve bone and joint flexibility.

Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, Copper, Boron, Manganese, Potassium, Chromium, Iodine, Selenium, Molybdenum, Indium

Antioxidants

Antioxidants fights free radical damage to organs, tissues and cells and this in turn protects against aging and disease.

Ningxia Wolfberry (from China), Blueberry, Bilberry, Green Tea, Gingko Biloba, Resveratrol, Beta carotene (ProVitamin A), Lycopene, Curcumin (Turmeric), Hawthorne Berry, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Coenzyme Q10, Lutein, Zeaxanthin, Quercetin, Rutin, Hesperiden, Grape Seed, Oregon Grape (Mahonia), Ginger, Black Cumin, Soy Isoflavones, L-Glutathione (reduced), N-Acetyl L- Cysteine, L – Carnosine, Astaxanthin, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Tocotrienols, DMAE

Of these the following are very expensive for supplement manufacturers to purchase:

Bilberry, Blueberry, Resveratrol, Turmeric (high potency form), Zeaxanthin, L-Glutathione (reduced)**

**L-Gluthathione is an absolutely vital substance for your cells. It is vital for cellular health and organ survival. It is a very expensive ingredient...which is why most dietary supplements don’t contain it.

L-Glutathione strengthens your immunity and defence system, improve your natural energy levels, reduce physical stress and fight free radicals. It is an antioxidant needed for cellular production of energy and proper immune function.

Due to their unique manufacturing processes and procedures Xtend-Life is able to include L-Glutathione in their health supplements and still keep consumer cost low.

Not only this, but Xtend-Life's L-Glutathione ingredient is in its ‘reduced’ form, which is necessary because normal L-Glutathione is often lost during digestion as it is too large to pass through the cell membranes. In its reduced form this does not happen, and is able enter the blood stream to be rapidly transported all over your body.

Immunity support

Our immunity and immune system modulates and actions biochemical activity. Natural immune stimulants helps to strengthen the immune system, protect your cardiovascular system and normalize and maintain healthy cholesterol levels.

Polysaccharides (Best sources: Aloe Vera Leaf, Beta 1,3-Glucan, Mushrooms - Shiitake, Maitake, Sen Su Take, Tea Polysaccharides), Alpha Lipoic Acid, Quercetin, Turmeric, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Beta Carotene (Vitamin A), Vitamin B6, Zinc, Calcium, Manganese, Colostrum, Beta Sitosterol, Echinacea, Goldenseal, Astragalus (Chinese herb), Protease (enzyme), N-Acetyl L-Cysteine

Digestive system

Digestive enzymes, especially:

Amylase, lipase, Isolase, Cellulase, Lactase, Protease, Bromelain, Papain, Betain HCL, Peppermint leaf, Acidophilus, Ginger root, Black Walnut, Psyllium seed/husk, Flaxseed, Pepper Fruit, Kiwifruit
